Terms and conditions

These terms are the rules for using the website of Fit With Riley at https://fitwithriley.com, including the list, the request form and the concierge.

Using this site

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. The site is for people who want to learn about our work or ask us to build for them, and it is meant for adults acting for themselves or for their business.

By application

Every request is read personally. Joining the list or sending a request does not create a contract, a reservation or a promise that we will take the work. A build begins only when we both sign a proposal under our client service agreement.

The list and our notes

When you join the list you agree to receive our notes: a welcome, an occasional note when there is something worth telling you, and the note on the day the door opens. Every note carries a stop link that works at once. How we handle your address is in our privacy policy.

Your account and passcode

If you send a request you choose a passcode to come back to it. Keep it to yourself. Tell us at the address on our contact page if you think someone else has used it.

The concierge

The concierge on the full site answers general questions about our work. Its answers are a starting point for a conversation, not advice, a quote or a commitment. Anything about price, timing or scope is agreed with us directly and in writing.

What you may not do

• Copy, scrape or harvest the site or its content by automated means.
• Try to reach parts of the site or its data that are not meant for you, or test it for weaknesses without our written permission.
• Disrupt the site, overload it, or send it anything harmful.
• Use the site, the list or the request form to send anything unlawful, misleading or abusive, or to pretend to be someone else.

We may refuse or remove access for anyone who does.

Our content

The words, photographs, films, the wordmark and the design of this site belong to Fit With Riley or are used under licence. You may view them and share links to them. You may not copy, reuse or adapt them without our written permission, except as Canadian copyright law allows. The full statement is in our legal notice.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another site, such as Instagram, that site's own terms and policies apply, and we are not responsible for it.

No warranty

We take care that the site is accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, and we do not promise that it will always be available, complete or free of errors.

Our liability

The site is free to use. As far as the law allows, Fit With Riley is not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from relying on it. Work we do for a client is covered by that client's own agreement, not by these terms. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version and the date at the top of this page tell you which terms apply; using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Fit With Riley is registered, and the courts there decide any dispute about them.
